Solana EV XA 4P
Solana's four-forward cart runs a 72V 105Ah lithium pack and a 7.5 kW motor — more voltage than most carts here — with up to 60 miles, a 6-hour charge and a 5-year battery warranty. The catch is speed: Solana's own spec table says 19 mph, so despite the "DOT Compliant Safety Package" it is not a factory LSV; ask the dealer what street-legal configuration they sell. Street-legal: no. MSRP range: $11,495–$12,495.
Not a factory LSV — street-legal by dealer package or self-attestation
Solana's spec table and rendered brochure say 19 mph; its 'DOT Compliant Safety Package' covers equipment, and no Solana page states LSV, VIN or FMVSS 500 for the XA. A dealer advertises 25 mph street-legal units — get the LSV build documented before buying for road use.
$192/mi of range · $2,874/seat vs. the field median $292/mi · $2,950/seat across 132 carts. A lot of cart for the money — priced below the field on range and seats.
Your pick if
Only if you're staying on cart paths and private property — as sold it's a 19 mph golf cart, not a street-legal LSV.

◆ Range reality check
Computed from the ≈7.56 kWh pack (system voltage × amp-hours) at a standard 0.125 kWh per mile — the same efficiency on every model, so ranges compare apples-to-apples. Real-world range varies with load, terrain, speed, and battery age.

Our figures, from verified specs + MSRP — lower cost-per-seat and cost-per-mile is better; higher power-to-weight means more pep and hill-climb. Range uses the normalized estimate. Cost per kWh is what the price actually buys you in battery — the single figure that separates a cheap cart from an under-batteried one, and almost nobody publishes it. Pack energy is the maker's published kWh where they give one, otherwise volts × amp-hours.

Strengths
- 60-mile max range covers most daily driving.
Trade-offs
- Tops out at 19 mph — under the 20 mph LSV floor, so as sold it's a golf cart, not a street-legal LSV.
Street-legal status
Not a factory LSV — here's the conversion path
Solana's spec table and rendered brochure say 19 mph; its 'DOT Compliant Safety Package' covers equipment, and no Solana page states LSV, VIN or FMVSS 500 for the XA. A dealer advertises 25 mph street-legal units — get the LSV build documented before buying for road use.
The honest caveat
A kit adds equipment— lights, signals, mirrors, belts. It does not make a cart a factory-certified LSV. Federal LSV status (FMVSS 500 + a 17-digit VIN) is set at the factory and can't be bolted on afterward. Most light kits stop at lighting, so you may still need mirrors, a DOT windshield, seat belts, and a dealer speed increase to reach the 20-25 mph window — and some states won't register a DIY conversion as an LSV at all. Check your local golf-cart vs. LSV rules before driving on public roads.
